Conventional TAD MACHINE SOLUTIONS, INCLUDING COATING PACKAGE:

A Conventional TAD with High Temperature Hoods gives production the ultimate flexibility. But, most conventional TADs run pre Yankee dryness to levels that make a hood seem like a waste of energy. Why? Because most coatings cannot handle an increase of incoming moisture! Due to PAL’s experience in hybrid structured technology, as well as TAD machines – we can work with a tissue manufacturer to develop a coating for the conditions necessary for success. If you want a pre Yankee dryness of 60% and your machine can handle it? PAL has designed a package to address this energy saving method with the accompanying products necessary when operating a “Wetter” TAD.

TAD Yankee only MACHINE SOLUTIONS, INCLUDING COATING PACKAGE:

Many new TAD installations have been higher efficiency TAD’s followed by Yankee only. This process has created a small window of opportunity for incoming sheet moisture to the Yankee (typically more than 85% Dryness). This has presented a coating that is highly dependent upon PVOH, a chemistry that relies on pressure sensitivity but also a level of moisture for increased adhesion. In order to optimize creping and give better drape and absorbency to the sheet more dedensification at the blade is commonly desired. The PAL Press Transfer Adhesive, coupled with PAL’s Dry Tack and full package address these concerns and can increase handfeel and drape, as well as further dedensification of the sheet. PAL also manufactures high quality fabric releases that can address fiber carryback while lower applied cost.
